About
Alfred
Situmorang
Alfred is an award-winning pianist, educator, collaborator, and church musician who holds a DMA in Piano performance and Pedagogy from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary – School of Church Music and Worship.
He has extensive experience in teaching piano, being a collaborative pianist for choirs and soloists, and serving in various roles in church music. His career includes many performances, teaching masterclasses, and church music ministries across the U.S., Europe, Israel, Indonesia, and Malaysia.

Every student who walks through my studio door comes with a unique personality. As a teacher, I have a passion to find out why each student wants to study music through piano instrument. Alongside private lessons, I also teach music theory, to make students understand what they are playing or practicing. Years of study have taught me how to bring out the best from every student, and I build every lesson plan individually for each of them.
Program
Lessons Programs
Every program is tailored to each individual student, not a fixed curriculum handed to every student the same way. Every lesson begins with one-on-one, student-focused interaction through studio classes, recitals, and concerts. Music Theory at Sonority is also taught as a primary tool for students to understand what they are playing and practicing.
